From 31 reviews to the top 3 on Maps

Example: a garage door company had 31 Google reviews, most of them over two years old, while the top 3 on Maps had 150+. We set up an automatic text after every closed job, wrote reply templates the owner could approve in one tap, and handled two unfair reviews through Google's own process. The steady flow of new reviews helped the profile move into the Maps top 3 for its main town.

Why reviews matter for service businesses

Reviews decide who gets the call.

When someone's garage door is stuck or the AC quits, they compare the three businesses on Maps and call the one people trust. Reviews do three jobs at once, and most contractors only get the benefit of one.

01

Ranking on Maps

Google looks at how many reviews you have, how recent they are and what they say. A profile with a steady flow of new reviews usually beats one with a big but old pile.

What we do: a request after every finished job, so new reviews keep coming every week, not in bursts.

02

Winning the click

Searchers read the last few reviews and your replies before they call. A calm, specific reply to a bad review often does more for trust than ten good ones.

What we do: replies to every review within a business day, in your voice, approved by you.

03

Feeding AI answers

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and other AI tools pull from reviews when they recommend local businesses. Reviews that mention the service and town help you show up.

What we do: requests that make it easy for customers to mention the job and the town, without scripting what they say.

What usually goes wrong

Why good contractors have few reviews.

Most businesses we check do great work but have fewer reviews than they deserve. It's almost always the same few reasons.

The problem

Reviews are only asked for when the owner remembers, so they come in bursts and then stop.

Our fix

An automatic request after every finished job, so new reviews arrive every week.

The problem

Bad reviews sit with no reply, and that's what new customers read first.

Our fix

A calm, specific reply within a business day, plus a plan to make it right offline.

The problem

Only happy customers are asked, or reviews are offered for a discount.

Our fix

Everyone gets the same request, with no incentives, so reviews stay within Google's rules and don't get removed.

The problem

Great reviews live only on Google and never help the website.

Our fix

The best ones shown on the matching service and town pages, where they help people decide to call.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

We track new reviews, average rating, reply time and how you stack up against the top 3 on Maps, plus the calls and direction requests from your Google profile. You get a short report every month and an alert the same day a bad review comes in.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

Questions

Review management questions.

Something else on your mind? Send a message and we'll reply within one business day.

Do reviews really help my Google Maps ranking?

Yes. Google says review count and score are part of how it ranks local businesses, and in practice a steady flow of recent reviews helps. Reviews also decide which of the top three businesses gets the call.

Can you remove bad reviews?

We can't delete reviews, and nobody honest can promise that. We can report reviews that break Google's rules, such as fake, spam, off-topic or conflict-of-interest reviews, through Google's own process. Real complaints get a calm reply and an offer to fix the problem.

Is it OK to offer a discount for a review?

No. Google's rules don't allow incentives for reviews, and it doesn't allow asking only happy customers either. Reviews collected that way can be removed and can put the profile at risk. We send the same request to every customer.

Will customers get annoyed by review requests?

Not when it's one short message right after the job, plus one reminder. Most people are happy to help a local business they just used. Customers can opt out with one reply.

Does it work with my job software?

Usually yes. Most field service tools can trigger a request when a job is closed. If yours can't, we set up a simple way for your techs or office to send it from their phone.

Who writes the replies?

We draft them in your voice and you approve them, or you can let us post replies to positive reviews automatically and approve only the negative ones.

How fast will I see more reviews?

Most businesses see new reviews in the first week after requests start. How many depends on how many jobs you close each month.
