Multi-location and franchise SEO

Every location ranking in its own towns.

When a home service brand grows to three, ten or fifty locations, SEO gets harder: copied town pages, Google profiles that don't match, locations competing with each other, and owners asking why their phone is quiet. We build one system that keeps the brand consistent and gives every location its own local strength.

  • A site structure that scales: one hub, a strong page for every location
  • Every Google Business Profile set up, verified and managed the same way
  • Unique local content, no copy-pasted town pages
  • Calls and leads reported by location, not just for the brand

From four strong locations to most of the network

Example: a garage door brand with twelve locations had one strong original branch and eleven weak ones. Its location pages were the same text with the city name swapped, three Google profiles had the wrong category, and two locations had duplicate listings. We rebuilt the location pages with local jobs, reviews and service areas, fixed every profile, merged the duplicates and set up call tracking per location. Within six months most locations were in the map pack for their main search.

What changes with more locations

More locations mean more pages, more profiles and more ways to get it wrong.

A single-location SEO plan doesn't stretch to a network. Three things decide whether every location wins or only the first one does.

01

Structure that scales

A clear hub-and-location setup lets Google understand which page serves which area, so locations stop competing with each other and the brand page.

What we do: one services hub, one strong page per location, and town pages only where a location really serves.

02

Consistent everywhere

Name, phone, hours, categories and services must match across the site, every Google profile and the directories. Small differences add up across many locations.

What we do: one source of truth for location data, with profiles and listings kept in sync.

03

Local, not copied

Pages that only swap the city name look thin to Google and to homeowners. Each location needs its own proof: local jobs, reviews, team and service area.

What we do: a template for structure, real local content for each location.

What's included

What usually goes wrong

Why most multi-location brands only rank in one place.

These are the problems we find most when a growing brand has a few strong locations and many weak ones.

The problem

Location pages are the same text with the city name swapped.

Our fix

Each location page rebuilt with local jobs, reviews, team and service area.

The problem

Google profiles were set up by different people at different times.

Our fix

Every profile audited and brought to one standard, with ownership in your name.

The problem

Several pages target the same search, so none of them rank well.

Our fix

A clear plan for which page targets which search and area.

The problem

Reports show brand totals, so weak locations go unnoticed.

Our fix

Calls, leads and rankings reported for each location.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

Every location gets its own tracking: calls, forms and booked jobs where your software allows, plus map pack rankings across its service area. You see the whole network at a glance and which locations need help next.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

✉

Forms

Every quote request and booking form, tagged by the page and the search that brought it in.

⌖

Map rank per area

A grid of ranking points across your service area, so you see the towns where you win and the ones still missing.

$

Cost per lead

What you spend divided by real leads, by channel. The number that tells you where the next dollar goes.

What is multi-location or franchise SEO?

It's SEO for a brand with several locations or franchisees. It covers the main website, a page and Google profile for every location, consistent business details everywhere, and reporting that shows how each location is doing.

Should each location have its own website?

Usually not. One strong website with a good page for each location is easier to manage and builds more authority than many small sites. There are exceptions, which we'll explain if they apply to you.

Can we use the same content on every location page?

You can share the structure and brand sections, but each page needs real local content: jobs done in the area, local reviews, the team and the service area. Copied pages tend to rank poorly.

How do you keep locations from competing with each other?

By deciding which page targets which search and area, using clear service areas on Google profiles and linking pages in a logical way. That avoids several pages fighting for the same search.

Do franchisees need to do anything?

A little. The best results come when each location shares job photos, asks customers for reviews and answers calls promptly. We give them simple guidelines and handle the rest centrally.

Can you report results for each location?

Yes. We set up call and form tracking per location and track map pack rankings across each service area, so you and each owner can see results for their location.

How long does it take for new locations to rank?

A new location with a verified Google profile and a strong page can start getting calls within weeks. Ranking well in a competitive area usually takes a few months of reviews, links and local content.
