Example project · Garage doors Example · not a specific client

Twenty pages, one keyword each

Example: a garage door company had pages for repairs, springs, openers and six towns, but three of them chased the same search and none of them ranked well. We gave each page one clear target, rewrote titles and headings, added real local details and FAQs, and linked the pages to each other. Rankings and calls from those pages climbed over the next three months.

Why pages don't rank

The page is there. Google just isn't sure what it's for.

Most contractor sites have the right pages but send mixed signals. These three problems hold back more service pages than anything else.

01

Pages compete with each other

Three pages all mention "spring repair", so Google flips between them and none of them ranks well.

What we do: a keyword map that gives every page one main target and folds the overlaps together.

02

Thin, generic copy

A few lines that could be on any contractor's site don't answer what homeowners need to know before they call.

What we do: content written around real questions: cost factors, signs of the problem, what the job involves and the towns you cover.

03

Visitors don't know what to do next

A page can rank and still lose the call if the phone number is hidden and the next step isn't clear.

What we do: clear calls to action, trust signals near the top and internal links to the next useful page.

What's included

Everything on the page that affects rankings and calls.

We work through your most valuable pages first, then the rest, and keep checking as Google and your services change.

What usually goes wrong

The on-page problems we fix most.

We see these on almost every contractor site we check. Each one is quick to fix once you know it's there.

The problem

Every page title is just the company name, or the same title is used on many pages.

Our fix

A unique title for each page with the service, the area and a reason to click.

The problem

The service page is a short paragraph and a stock photo.

Our fix

Real content: what the job involves, signs you need it, cost factors, towns covered, job photos and FAQs.

The problem

Town pages are copies with only the city name changed.

Our fix

Each town page rewritten with local details and jobs, or merged when it doesn't add value.

The problem

The phone number is only in the footer on mobile.

Our fix

Tap-to-call in the first screen, plus a short form and a clear next step on every page.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

We track rankings, clicks and impressions for every page in Search Console, alongside calls and forms, so you can see which edits moved which pages. You get a short summary every month in plain English.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

✉

Forms

Every quote request and booking form, tagged by the page and the search that brought it in.

⌖

Map rank per area

A grid of ranking points across your service area, so you see the towns where you win and the ones still missing.

$

Cost per lead

What you spend divided by real leads, by channel. The number that tells you where the next dollar goes.

Questions

On-page SEO questions.

Something else on your mind? Send a message and we'll reply within one business day.

What is on-page SEO?

It's everything on the page itself that helps it rank and convert: the search target, title, description, headings, content, images, internal links, schema and calls to action. Technical SEO covers the site as a whole; on-page SEO works page by page.

How is on-page SEO different from technical SEO?

Technical SEO makes sure Google can find, load and index your pages. On-page SEO makes sure each page clearly matches a search and gives visitors a reason to call. Most sites need both, and we often start with whichever is holding them back more.

Do you write the content or just give recommendations?

We make the changes ourselves: new titles, rewritten copy, FAQs, links and calls to action. If you'd rather your team edits the site, we can hand over a page-by-page list instead.

How many pages do you work on?

We start with the pages closest to bringing calls, usually your main services and biggest towns, then work through the rest. A typical first round covers 10 to 20 pages.

Will changing my pages hurt my current rankings?

Not when it's done carefully. We keep what already ranks, change one page at a time and watch each page in Search Console after the edit.

How long until I see results?

Title and description changes can show up in Google within days. Ranking changes usually build over one to three months as Google recrawls and tests the updated pages.

Do keywords still matter with AI search?

Yes, but the target is the question behind the keyword. Pages that answer clearly, with real local details, tend to do better in both Google results and AI answers.
