More planned work, fewer tire-kicker calls

Example: a three-van electrical contractor got plenty of small service calls but wanted more panel upgrades and EV charger installs. We built a page for each high-value service and each main town, added the matching services and photos to the Google profile, and ran a small ads campaign only for those jobs. Within six months, planned work made up a much bigger share of the calendar.

How electrician marketing works

Two kinds of jobs, two different plans.

An electrician gets two very different kinds of calls: someone with no power right now, and someone planning a panel upgrade, an EV charger or a remodel. Each one searches differently, and we plan for both, town by town.

01

Win the emergency call

When the power is out or a breaker keeps tripping, people call the first trusted electrician on Google Maps. Speed, reviews and a clear phone number decide it.

What we do: a strong Google profile, a fast mobile site with click-to-call, and ads or Local Services Ads for emergency searches.

02

Grow the planned work

Panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, lighting and rewiring are researched for days. People compare companies, read pages and check licenses.

What we do: a detailed page for each high-value service, with photos, permits, brands you install and answers to common questions.

03

Rank where you drive

You don't want calls from two hours away. You want more work in the towns closest to the shop, where jobs are profitable.

What we do: a page and Maps plan for each core town, and nothing aimed at areas you don't want to serve.

What usually goes wrong

Why electricians miss out on Google.

These are the gaps we see most on electrical contractor sites and profiles.

The problem

One services page lists everything from outlets to generators, so nothing ranks.

Our fix

A focused page for each main service, starting with the jobs you want more of.

The problem

The Google profile uses one category and lists no services.

Our fix

The right categories, every service filled in, and photos from real jobs.

The problem

Calls come from far-away towns while the nearby ones go to competitors.

Our fix

Town pages and a Maps plan built around the towns closest to the shop.

The problem

License, insurance and brand certifications are hidden or missing.

Our fix

Trust details shown on every service page and listed in the right directories.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

We track calls, forms and booked jobs by service and town, plus where you show up on Google Maps across your service area. You see which services bring the best jobs and what each lead cost, twice a month.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

✉

Forms

Every quote request and booking form, tagged by the page and the search that brought it in.

⌖

Map rank per area

A grid of ranking points across your service area, so you see the towns where you win and the ones still missing.

$

Cost per lead

What you spend divided by real leads, by channel. The number that tells you where the next dollar goes.

Other home-service trades

We also work with these trades.

We only work with home service businesses, so we already know how your customers search and what makes them call.

Questions

Electrician marketing questions.

Something else on your mind? Send a message and we'll reply within one business day.

How do electricians get more calls from Google?

Most calls come from the Google Maps results and a few service pages. A complete Google profile with the right categories and steady reviews, plus a fast site with a page for each main service and town, covers most of it. Ads and Local Services Ads add calls while SEO builds.

What Google Business Profile category should an electrician use?

Usually Electrician as the primary category, with extra categories that match services you actually offer, such as lighting or generator services where they apply. Every service you do should also be listed in the services section.

Should I run Local Services Ads as an electrician?

Often yes. Electricians are eligible in many areas, you pay per lead instead of per click, and the ads show above everything else. You'll need to pass Google's license and background checks first.

Can you help us get more panel upgrades and EV charger jobs?

Yes. We build detailed pages for those services, add them to your Google profile, and can run ads only for those searches, so more of your calls are the jobs you want.

How long does electrician SEO take?

Google profile and site fixes can bring more calls within weeks. New service and town pages usually take three to six months to rank well, longer in big metros.

Do you work with electricians outside my area?

Yes, but only one electrical contractor per area. We won't take on your direct competitor.

Do I own the website and accounts?

Yes. The site, Google profile, ads account and tracking are all in your name, and you keep everything if you leave.
