Google Business Profile management

Google Business Profile management for contractors.

Your Google profile is the first thing a homeowner sees on Maps, and often the only thing. We set it up right, keep it active every week, and tie it to the calls it brings in.

  • Categories, services and service areas set for how you actually work
  • Weekly photos and posts from real jobs
  • Review requests that ask for detail, and a reply to every review
  • Calls and map rank tracked for every town you serve
Month to month One client per trade and area Reply within 1 business day

Example project · 24/7 locksmith Example · not a specific client

Top 3 on Maps in most neighborhoods.

An illustrative locksmith with a recently reinstated profile, the wrong primary category and about 30 reviews, most of them a single line. We rebuilt categories and services, set real service areas, and started review requests after every job. Six months later the business held a top-3 spot in most of the neighborhoods it serves.

How the map pack works

Three things decide who shows up on Maps.

Google says local results come down to relevance, distance and prominence. You can't move your shop closer to every customer, so we work hard on everything else.

01

Relevance: say exactly what you do.

Your primary category carries the most weight. A garage door company listed as a general contractor loses to one listed under garage doors with every repair service spelled out. Categories and services should match the searches that bring jobs, not the ones that sound impressive.

What we do: choose the primary and secondary categories, add every service you sell with a short description, and fill in attributes like hours, emergency service and service areas.

02

Prominence: reviews and activity.

Review count, rating, freshness and replies all feed prominence. So do photos and posts. A profile that hasn't changed in a year looks closed, even if your phones are ringing all day.

What we do: send a review request after each job, reply to every review within two business days, and publish photos and posts from real jobs every week.

03

Trust: the web agrees with your profile.

Google cross-checks your name, address and phone against your website and directories. Mismatches lower trust and can trigger a suspension, which is common in trades like locksmiths and garage doors where spam listings are a problem.

What we do: line up your site and listings with the profile, and handle verification and reinstatement paperwork if Google asks for proof.

What usually goes wrong

Why good contractors stay off the map.

Most profiles we audit have at least two of these problems. Each one is fixable, usually in the first month.

The problem

Your profile lists you as a general contractor with two services, so Google doesn't know you do spring repair or emergency calls.

Our fix

We map your real services to the right categories, so you show up for the specific jobs people search for.

The problem

Your service area covers your home zip code, but you drive 30 miles for work.

Our fix

We set service areas that match where you actually work, and add city pages on your site that back them up.

The problem

The newest photo is three years old and nobody has ever published a post.

Our fix

Your crew snaps job photos on their phones. We write the captions and publish posts every week.

The problem

Your profile got suspended once and nobody knows why, so everyone is afraid to touch it.

Our fix

We check the usual causes, fix them, and file the reinstatement request with the right proof if it happens again.

How we measure success

Four numbers. Every month.

Profile views and impressions look nice in a report. These four numbers show whether the profile is actually bringing in work.

☎

Calls

Tracked numbers on your site, profile and ads, with source, duration and recordings, so you can see which calls became jobs.

✉

Forms

Every quote request and booking form, tagged by the page and the search that brought it in.

⌖

Map rank per area

A grid of ranking points across your service area, so you see the towns where you win and the ones still missing.

$

Cost per lead

What you spend divided by real leads, by channel. The number that tells you where the next dollar goes.

Something else on your mind? Send a message and we'll reply within one business day.

What does Google Business Profile management include?

Setup or cleanup, categories and services, service areas, weekly posts and photos, review requests and replies, listing consistency across the web, and tracking for calls and map rank. You get a dashboard and a monthly report.

Do I keep ownership of my profile?

Always. You stay the primary owner and we're added as a manager. You can remove us at any time and keep everything we built.

How long until I move up on Maps?

Fixes like categories and services can move rankings within weeks. Reviews, posts and citations build over two to six months. Distance still matters, so we report your rank town by town instead of one average number.

Can you remove bad reviews?

We can't remove honest reviews, and nobody can legitimately promise to. We can flag reviews that break Google's rules, like fake or off-topic ones, and help you reply in a way that reassures the next customer who reads it.

My profile was suspended. Can you help?

Yes. We check the usual causes, like a virtual office address, keywords stuffed into the business name or mismatched listings, fix them, and file the reinstatement request with the right documents.

Do I need a storefront to show up on Maps?

No. Most contractors are service-area businesses: the address is hidden and the profile lists the towns you serve. You still need a real address for verification.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your trade, how many towns you cover and how much cleanup the audit finds. You get a written number after the free check. The first 3 months are a commitment, then it's month to month.
